New sustainability polity for the college:  i. Sustainable purchasing of IT equipment including: i. Strategies to avoid unnecessary consumption ● buy sustainable, eco-friendly materials ● reduce Your E-Waste ● powering down devices when not in use ● Limit Unnecessary Streaming ( 300 million tons of carbon dioxide are generated from watching videos every year, 1% of global greenhouse gas emissions) Don't keep videos playing if you are not watching and turn off auto-play on YouTube. Close tabs on your browser that might play video ads without your knowledge. ii. Minimising environmental impacts of goods over the whole of lifecycle ● Understand which parts of a product’s life cycle have the greatest environmental impacts to promote material and economic efficiency
